Mark your calendars and save the date! The Central Massachusetts Section of the American Chemical Society would like to invite undergraduate researchers (and their advisors) to present their work at the Undergraduate Chemical Research Symposium to be held at Fitchburg State University on Saturday, April 14 starting at 9:00 AM. The event will kick off with a career panel formed of local leaders from industry and academia to provide insight on topics that include:

* Career preparation before graduation

* The importance of soft skills and concrete ways to develop them

* How to leverage course experience in the job search

Students will then be invited to present their work in the poster competition, with cash prizes awarded for top posters in two categories:

a) Biochemistry and Organic

b) Analytical, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry.

Top prize in each category will be $150! The symposium will wrap up with a lunch and awards ceremony.

An announcement will be made as the date approaches with instructions for registration and abstract submission.
