The Central Massachusetts Section of the

American Chemical Society

wishes to invite you to a Section Meeting to be held at

Clark University

950 Main St., Worcester, MA

November 15th, 2017

Room S122 Sackler Science Center

“New Faculty Night”

Continuing our recent tradition, we have asked three new faculty from universities within the Section to come and give a brief overview of their work and interests as a means to help introduce them to the area and to inform the membership about some of our newest additions.

Each person has been asked to speak for 15 minutes on their work and then we will allow a brief question period before the next speaker. We certainly hope that there will be some ‘mingling’ afterwards as well.

6:30 – Social Hour (ok, half-hour)

7:00 – Dr. Weichu (Brian) Xu (Worcester St. University)

7:20 – Dr. Emma Downs (Fitchburg St. University)

7:40 – Dr. Arundhati Nag (Clark University)

8:00 – A brief Section Business Meeting may occur (depends on whether there is any ‘Business’;) followed by general conversation.

For further information, please contact:

Prof. Mark M. Turnbull (mturnbull@clarku.edu)

Parking is available on the parking garage roof (Downing St. entrance, enter from

the Park Avenue side) or Maywood St. Lot. (by the Biology Building).
